ITINERARY

Today: Your pilgrimage begins today as you depart on your overnight flight to Athens. Meals and drinks served aloft.

Today: Upon arrival, you will be greeted by your tour escort and driver. We will make a panoramic tour of the city. Transfer to the hotel for dinner and overnight accommodation.

Evening: Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Today: We will go to the port of Piraeus to board a ship that will take us on a cruise through the Greek islands. Our first stop will be on the island of Mykonos, an island of whitewashed houses and beautiful views. We will have free time to explore this picturesque island and watch the multicolored sunset.

Evening: We return to the ship for dinner and to retire for the night.

Today: Arrival at Kusadasi in Turkey. Tour Ephesus, through paved streets of marble, you can admire the masterpieces of ancient architecture, such as the Magnesia Gate and the Celso Library, before arriving at the amphitheater in which St. Paul was imprisoned before his expulsion from the city. We will also visit the house of the Virgin Mary where she spent her last days. We will depart from the port of Kusadasi to Patmos. At arrival, time is at your disposal to visit freely this quiet island known for being the place where St. John the Evangelist wrote the Apocalypse during his exile from Rome. The cave in which according to tradition lived the apostle, is today the Monastery of the Apocalypse. In the second century the abbot Christodoulou founded the monastery of San Juan in one of the highest points of the island. In his museum there are some icons and manuscripts of inestimable value. Departure from Patmos. Full on board accommodation on the boat.

Evening: We return to the ship for dinner and to retire for the night.

Today: We will go to Heraklion (Crete) to visit Knossos, which was once the capital of the Minoíca civilization. We will take a tour of the excavations of the Palace of King Minos and its surroundings. We will return to the ship to continue to the island of Santorini. Upon arrival, we will board small boats to reach the Island and climb up to it by boarding cable cars. We will enjoy free time to explore the Island.

Evening: We return to the ship for dinner and to retire for the night.

Today: We will return to Athens. In the port of Piraeus, we will meet with our coordinator and driver. We travel to Corinth, we will take a tour of the Canal and the ancient Corinth, El Agora, the excavations where St. Paul preached. Afterward, we will return to Athens to tour the Parthenon, the Acropolis, Mars Hills, and the Agora (old market). Then continue touring the Plaka district for the rest of the day.

Evening: Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Today: We will go to the airport to board the flight to Tel Aviv. Upon arrival, you will meet your coordinator and driver to continue to Jaffa City and celebrate Mass. Then we will travel along the coast to Caesarea, where the Romans kept Paul prisoner. We will visit the Roman ruins. We will continue towards Stella Maris, and visit the Carmelite Monastery. Afterward, we will continue to Tiberias to register at the hotel.

Evening: Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Today: We will take a boat ride on the Sea of Galilee to reach Capernaum. We will have the opportunity of seeing the ancient synagogue, the house of St. Peter. We will visit the Mount of Beatitudes (Place of Sermon on the Mountain). Then we will go to Tabgha, the place of the miracle of the loaves and fishes. We will continue to the Church of the Primacy of Peter, where Jesus said to Peter: “You are the rock upon which I will build my Church.” Here, we will have Mass. We will continue to Caesarea Philippi.

Evening: Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Today: We will go to Cana, the town of Jesus’ first miracle where he transformed water into wine. Here, the married couples may renew their marriage vows. We will continue to the Basilica of the Annunciation in Nazareth where we will celebrate Mass and visit the Well of Mary and the Church of the Angel Gabriel. We will continue towards Mount Tabor, scene of the Transfiguration. Then we will travel through the Jordan Valley until we reach Bethlehem.

Evening: Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Today: We will contemplate a panorama of the city of Jerusalem, a key site for the three main religions: Judaism, Christianity, and Islam. Then we will go to the Church of the Nativity in Bethlehem which is on the place where Jesus was born. We will have mass here. Then we will go to Shepherd’s Field where the angels announced the birth of the baby Jesus. We continue to the town of Ein Karem, the birthplace of Saint John the Baptist. Afterward, the Church of the Visitation where the Virgin Mary visited her cousin Isabel and where the Magnificat was proclaimed.

Evening: Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Today: We retrace the last steps of Jesus, as we walk along the Via Dolorosa (Way of Sorrow), through the markets of the Old City praying the Stations of the Cross. We reflect on the greatness of his sacrifice. Finally, we arrive at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre to celebrate Mass. At St. Anne’s Church, the home of the Virgin Mary and her parent’s Saints Joachim and Anne, we’ll stop for a short prayer. We pass the Ecce Home where Pilate proclaimed “Behold the man”; then on to the Wailing Wall, the most holy place for the Jews. The rest of the day is open for visits to other Holy Sites, shopping or resting at your hotel.

Evening: Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Today: We will go to Bethany, where Jesus raised Lazarus. Then, we will go to the Mount of Olives to walk on the Palm Sunday route, stopping at Dominus Flevit, where Jesus cried over Jerusalem. Then we will go to Gethsemane, the Rock of Agony, where Jesus prayed before being arrested. We also visit the Church of Pater Noster and the Chapel of the Ascension. Then we will go to the town of Jericho. We will visit the excavations. We will see the Mount of Temptations where Jesus fasted and was tempted by Satan. We will have time to enjoy the mineral waters of the Dead Sea, famous for its healing qualities. Then we will have free time for the rest of the day.

Evening: Dinner and overnight at the hotel.

Today: This morning we will transfer to the airport to catch our return flight home.
